Delta Careers is offering educational, online and global Work-Experience Programs and courses to accelerate future careers for ambitious high school students with companies like Uber, PwC etc. As part of our mission to develop holistic individuals, CGA offers a wide variety of Work-Experience Programs to develop the next generation of high-performing talent. These provide real-world experience to high school students and allow them an opportunity to interact with industry mentors.

Besides offering world-class extracurricular activities, we partner with global companies to offer high school students an opportunity to learn through projects. The Work-Experience Programs and live careers training courses offer students an opportunity to explore a career before they go to university where they have to commit to a field of study. Every participating student also receives a reference letter written signed by a company representative.

STRIPE Work-Experience Program
The STRIPE 1 month FinTech Work-Experience Program consists of a 2 part careers training program in financial valuations and corporate finance, this Work-Experience Program will offer high school students the opportunities to delve into the world of finance before tertiary studies - gaining necessary practical skills to enter this field.

Delve into the world of investment banking and explore the democratisation of money. You will experience a fintech transformation with one of the biggest payment technology companies in the world.

Specifically, you will learn...

Financial Valuations
Financial Valuations is a key skill for particularly in roles such as investment banking, asset management, private equity and venture capital. You will delve into Discounted Cash Flow analysis, Comparison Analysis and Fundamental and Technical Analysis. Ultimately training you up to be a financial analyst.

Corporate Finance
The theoretical basis of finance encompasses exploring the role finance plays in corporations. This will include different accounting methodologies and analysing the various financing decisions corporations partake in. Ultimately you will have broad knowledge on the financing decisions of companies.

FinTech Entrepreneurship
In this everchanging world, the role of money has changed. Particularly with the rise of cryptocurrencies, buy now pay later (BNPL) technology and the seamless global payments, the role of money has changed. You will gain exposure to what these new changes mean for the future of finance and how to explore the entrepreneurship opportunities in Financial Technology (FinTech).

Format

Program Outline:

Week 1
Orientation Week
Get introduced to the program, your mentors, your team and the company. You will learn what it's like to at Stripe and begin preliminary research on the program project with your team.

Week 2
Competence Week
You will obtain all the required skills to complete the project. Through a series of skills lectures, you will get a fully immersive learning experience and all the adequate skills.

Week 3
Development Week
You are now equipped with the adequate skillset to complete the program. Applying your knowledge to the project and working as a team effectively is the focus of this week.

Week 4
Pitch Week
For the final night you will pitch your project and findings to the startup executives. Upon successful completion, you wil receive a referral letter signed by the company and an Work-Experience Program certificate.

Program Details:
• 4-5 students per team
• 15-20 hrs commitment per week

Tangible Outcomes:
• Gaining practical experience at a fast-moving business
• Certificate of Completion upon completion
• Building a global network of students, mentors and professionals
• Gain a referral letter signed by the partner firm
