Media INTERNSHIP
1 month Media internship powered by Crimson. A practical work experience program designed for high school students interested in a career in Media.
You will be part of a smart and ambitious cohort of top high school students all around the world. This program is recommended to students who are interested in media both academically and professionally. By the end of the program, you will be equipped with fundamental media skills and would have developed a sound media mind.
What you will do
You will be trained in fundamental skills such as Philosophy, Politics, and Economics, Journalism and Media. You will then help resolve solve a major startup problem.
Core Competencies:
Philosophy, Politics, and Economics
You will start researching current events, spanning topics of economics, politics, or international affairs. After choosing a particular event to zoom in, you will engage in background research and conduct analysis, taking both a practical and philosophical stance regarding the matter at hand.
Journalism
Upon concluding the background research of the event chosen, you will start crafting your article. More sources may be added by, say, interviewing relevant figures or running a survey and analysing its results. Any interesting findings will be added to the article, while also catering for the right ‘Economist’ format. Any information cited will be cross-checked and referenced.
Media
Upon producing the article, you will ponder on the most effective ways of its promotion to your audience. This process will include considering both the article’s site presence as well as any use of social media for promotion. In the end, you will craft a short media campaign for your produced article and make some predictions regarding its appeal
