In-Person
June 19–30 (Monday-Friday), 9 a.m.–5 p.m. CST
Learning Objectives:
-Understand and implement design-thinking process
-Learning basic CAD and 3D modeling
-Learn and operate the three major rapid-prototyping tools (3D printer, laser cutter, and CNC router)
Example Activities:
-Conduct market research, including surveying pet owners and touring a pet store
-Ideation, including deciding what is missing from the marketplace and then sketching it out on paper
-Develop a prototype, including using tools within the Idea Shop to transform each student’s sketch into a built product that will be tested by live animals
Rising 9th–12th graders; must be able to interact with dogs and cats

$800; $100 is due at the time of registration
