Academics

The Stanford Virtual Clinical Anatomy Summer Program is a program for high school students interested in anatomy and health fields, hosted by the Division of Clinical Anatomy. During the week-long virtual spring program, students are exposed to rigorous anatomy curriculum, have the opportunity to meet and network with health care professionals, and are taught by faculty and teaching assistants within the school of medicine. All content and activities will be taught through Zoom live in PST.
While Virtual CASP and in-person CASP share many similarities in curriculum, such as health professional guest speakers, lectures given by Stanford faculty, and suturing demonstrations, Virtual CASP uniquely allows students to explore up-and-coming virtual technologies used to teach anatomy, perform surgery, and visualize clinical cases. Utilizing the virtual format to its fullest potential, students will learn through daily virtual reality sessions and 3-dimensional radiological images.

Format

Virtual CASP will be held June 12-14, 2024 from 9AM - 4PM PDT. The program is entirely virtual and will be held via Zoom and VR platform. Students are welcome to apply to be part of the program from any geographical location, though please note sessions will be held live.
