Enrichment classes provide students with skills that are useful for academic achievement, personal growth, and college preparation. You will receive a Certificate of Completion at the end of the program.
Inc. Young Entrepreneurs
Inc. magazine is the world's leading publication for innovative business builders. This program allows high school students to plug-in to Inc. Magazine’s business thought leadership, expertise, and network to take their entrepreneurial leadership potential to the next level. You'll create an original business idea, write a business plan, and pitch your business to veteran entrepreneurs. Plus, our industry speakers will bring their real-world experience to the classroom and share practical insights and success stories.
Through a study of our governmental institutions in action, students gain an understanding of our national identity, constitutional heritage, civic values, individual rights and responsibilities. We'll also discuss what’s happening now, including today’s headlines, civil liberties and their effect on you.
Write your way to self-discovery as you practice writing the personal essay. This workshop will prepare you for the writing of college application essays, but more importantly, it will arm you with the tools, techniques and attitudes essential to successful writing in high school and college.

Are you stumped about how to win more arguments against your parents? Do you wonder what it means to be happy? Philosophy is a subject that helps people find understanding in everyday ideas. Historically, great thinkers have used philosophy to find a greater appreciation for life.
This course will explore the ways in which innovative companies have revolutionized the way we do business. Explore how the business models of modern disruptors such as Amazon, WeWork, Netflix, Uber, Airbnb, and Tesla have literally changed the world and altered the way we think, behave, and act about a certain idea, item, product, or service.
Students explore the basic elements of interpersonal communication in today’s society. Special attention is given to perception, culture, emotion, listening, gender differences, self-disclosure, and conflict management. Students will be given the “tools” to improve their communication skills and personal relationships through techniques, exercises, and discussion. Learn what factors affect communication between two people, and why communication skills are the number one element that employers look for in job applicants.
Explore the exciting world of medicine and health science from experts in the field. Discussions of current medical topics of interest include medical ethics, health disparities, biomedical research, health care costs, health care reform and maintaining your personal wellness. Medical and health science preparation and practice are explored in this unique and useful pre-college experience. Limited enrollment.

Step 1:Complete the Summer Discovery online application with $100 non-refundable application fee (not applicable towards tuition).
Step 2: Fill out the application section by section, paying careful attention to the information you provide. Note: When asked for your GPA (High School Students only), you will self-report and type in your current GPA. When asked for your counselor/advisor contact information (all applicants), be sure to include their first and last name and an exact email address. Summer Discovery will contact them on your behalf.
Step 3: Pay your $100 Application Fee.
