THE CAMP PROGRAM
The core of the educational program consists of 3 morning and 2 afternoon lessons in which an English teacher, who is always a native speaker, actively works with the children in classrooms or in our beautiful outdoor areas. The course focuses mainly on improving the children’s conversational skills, their active perception of the language and pronunciation. The goal is not just to understand a foreign language, but also to be able to spontaneously react and speak. Grammar is practised in a fun way that complements the main aim of the course. In addition to the lessons, the children enjoy time with their teachers throughout the whole day, participating in fun activities such as sports, games, competitions, swimming, boating, sightseeing trips, camp fires and discos, so they are speaking English all day long.
Children, thanks to their age, are surprisingly fast learners and are naturally able to grasp foreign languages, including new expressions and pronunciation, so direct contact with native English speakers allows them to absorb new language skills quickly. They celebrate the conclusion of the course with an afternoon full of wonderful entertainment, where each class presents a performance (fairytales, sketches, anecdotes, songs – everything in English of course) that they have prepared during the week. A sightseeing trip around the beautiful sights of South Bohemia has a special charm; the children are guided in English and participate in fun and games throughout the afternoon. The teachers not only describe the sights, but also later help the children to remember this special experience by incorporating it into the lessons.
For language courses and camps we primarily use two of our own resorts, which lie next to each other and together form the SUMMER TIME CAMPS complex. ENGLISH 4 YOU is traditionally held at SUMMER TIME resort.
In the SUMMER TIME resort, accommodation is provided in cabins that consist of two rooms with four or six beds, a hall and a terrace. Our modern sanitary facilities are equipped with hot showers, washrooms and toilets. Our cooks are professionals in catering for children and they prepare a varied menu for our students: two hot meals a day, breakfast, snacks, fruit, vegetables and drinks.
Our program ENGLISH 4 YOU at MONÍNEC as a premium program further widens our range of choices for children. The idea of the course stays the same, but the place is different. The modern sports areal stands out because of its location and professional services. The modern Leisure Resort MONÍNEC – moninec.cz/en offers everything necessary for the ENGLISH 4 YOU program: including comfort and luxury especially regarding accommodation in cosy apartments with living rooms and bedrooms with private bathrooms, Wi-Fi internet access, enough classrooms for lessons. The apartment bedrooms sleep two to four people. The cosy alpine style restaurant, partly reserved only for us, is vegetarian friendly and prepares a varied menu: two hot meals per day, breakfast, snacks, fruit, vegetables and drinks.
THE UNIQUENESS OF THE PROGRAM
Not only during the lessons themselves, but also throughout the whole program, for example during sports, a walk in the forest or while boating, our participants are always in contact with native speakers who communicate with them in English. This playful approach motivates children better than the school classroom environment.
TRANSPORT
Transport from and to Prague is provided in the form of modern Mercedes and VDL buses and is not included in the price of the camp, the return journey is a single charge of 25 EUR, i.e. 28 USD
The camp is designed for children between the ages of 7 and 17 (the camp at MONÍNEC from 12 to 17), who have a basic knowledge of the English language. The program is also adjusted for more advanced English speakers, which is why the children are divided into groups according to their skill level, and of course their age is always taken into consideration.

HOW TO APPLY
If you are interested and our ENGLISH 4 YOU camp suits both you and your children, you can reserve the term and apply for the application form on-line now; all you need to do is enter data about yourself in the form on the next page.
After we receive the application form back from you, your place is booked. Later, in the beginning of June, you will receive by e-mail all important information regarding departure and return, everything the children should have with them and a map directing you to the place of departure of the buses or to our camp area or hotel. The health statement that will need to be signed by a parent before departure will also be enclosed.

TWO-WEEK STAYS
If you are wondering whether it would be possible for your children to attend two consecutive week camps, that’s nothing unusual. Terms T1–T4 may be joined for a 2-week stay, similarly with term M1 and M2. Terms T1–T4 will be held at the SUMMER TIME resort and terms M1–M2 will be held at Leisure Resort MONÍNEC. It is also possible to attend multiple courses that are not held consecutively, but in this case you have to apply for each camp separately.
